You asked for feedback, and I shall give you and your team nothing but praise: In an era where races are dominated by event companies who charge a fortune and offer little in return, it’s so good to see the complete opposite, which is sadly becoming rarer and rarer. Excellent value for money for what you get. Plenty of free parking, a festival type atmosphere at the start/finish and a LOT of cake and other refreshments at the finish, much needed in the heat! The volunteers are also fantastic, very friendly and helpful. I also admire the honesty of your course on your website. I have recently ran in two “flat and fast” races in Milton Keynes, both of which are undulating and very twisty. In fact, they were so twisty that my watch recorded 21.28km at one of them, 180 metres over distance, whereas it recorded 21.16km on Sunday, a reflection of the smoother turns allowing me to stay on the “racing line” much more.

Just wanted to drop a mail to say a huge thank you for the event yesterday. It’s the first time I have completed this half marathon and it was well worth the money. Everything was so structured to make it as easy as possible to run and it was a beautiful course. Looking forward to 2026

Why is it a) always a million degrees and b) SO HILLY?!! 🤣🤣🤣 SUCH a fantastic race as always, it’s impossible to find fault in the organisation, marshalling, medals, everything! 100% brilliant! Especially loved the sunscreen at the start (thank you!) and also having gluten free cake available- brilliant! Thank you Laura & gang 😊😊😊

Challenging course, well marshaled with plenty of water stations and Haribo. Lovely touch with the sunscreen at the start. The only reason I run this race is for the cake which didn’t disappoint this year. Nice to have the option of a massage at the end and instant printed results too. Thanks to all involved, there would be no race without you. Course pb by 8 minutes for me and as an older lady, any chance the age category could go in 5 year increments? It would just make my stats look better. 5 stars 🌟 again The Buckingham Half Marathon

“I ran the Buckingham half marathon today and loved it! The organisation was superb. The marshals, of which there were many, were fantastic and encouraging. The route was picturesque and, to finish, the free tea/coffee and cake was just the icing on a perfect cake (excuse the pun!). Thank you for a great and extremely friendly half marathon. On behalf of Silson AC I just wanted to congratulate Buckingham & Stowe RC on a fabulous first half marathon. Every Silson member who I spoke to at the finish was full of praise not just for the welcome at registration and the ease of picking up numbers and chips, but particularly for the way the course was marshalled. Not only were there plenty of marshals but the support they provided was superb and In fact I think that the race was one of the best marshalled I have competed in.Also the bag drop was really quick and easy to leave and pick up bags and the chip return and medal distribution were both flawless too. Please do pass on our comments to all those involved and hopefully the race will become an annual event. Congratulations again. BK

I just wanted to say a massive thank you for yesterday to everyone involved in both the organisation and the stewarding/other stations. 

It was the most beautiful half marathon I have ever run and all the better for running past home in Wicken. Thank you for your work in getting it going. The water stations and marshals were fantastic.

Just wanted to thank you all for a brilliant event on Sunday. It was my first half, but I’ll definitely be back for more (fingers crossed that it’s on again in 2018)!  
I managed to speak to a few members of your team on Sunday, but not everyone, so please pass on my thanks. Heidi asked me for my feedback, but I really can’t think of anything you could have done better! I know most of you through parkrun which meant that I got lots of great encouragement on the course; but I know that the marshals were just as welcoming to all the unfamiliar faces. The feedback from all the runners I have spoken to has been overwhelming positive.”

A really well organised event set in lovely undulating countryside, the marshals were so supportive and plenty of encouragement along the single lap route from supporters. The start / finish is situated in a great spacious location for families to play in the park or kick a ball about in the huge open field. This is one to add to the planner every year.
